Fictitious Business Name Search

Search for a Fictitious Business Name In Person

There is no charge for a search done in person. If a search reveals the company name, a certified copy is $2 per document.

Note: Searches at branch offices only yield the business name, document number and the date filed. Additional information regarding the business in question can only be obtained from the Norwalk main office by mail or in person.

  1. Business name.
  2. Business address.
  3. Non-refundable search fee of $5 per name by check or money order payable to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. If a search reveals the company name, a certified copy is $2 per document.
  4. Stamped, self-addressed return envelope.
