Fictitious Business Name Statement Filings

Date: 3 5, 2018

Effective Monday, March 5, 2018 the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will accept Fictitious Business Name (FBN) Statements as follows.

  • Fictitious Business Name Statement filings received over the counter and through the mail must be submitted using a Kiosk at our headquarters or district office OR by using the online website https://apps.lavote.net/obfr/bfrmain.aspx.
  • Manually typed, handwritten or forms without a barcode may be rejected.

This is done in order to maintain the most efficient and transparent method for filing as well as consistency with the FBN forms in accordance with Business and Professions Code Sections 17913, 17914, 17915, 17917, 17922 and 17930.
