Schedule Your Civil Ceremony

The Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk will close all of its offices to the public effective Monday, March 16 as a precautionary measure to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We apologize for the inconvenience as we are unable to process marriage requests at this time.

The fee for the civil ceremony is $35. Ceremonies are pre-paid and the fee is non-refundable.

Ceremony Appointments are scheduled AFTER purchasing the marriage license. Most couples schedule and pay for the marriage ceremony at the time of purchasing the license. If the ceremony appointment is not scheduled at that time, either Party A or Party B must return to an office to schedule and pay for the ceremony. Please bring the marriage license.

For an out-of-county marriage license, either Party A or Party B may visit an office to pay for the ceremony and make an appointment. Please bring the original marriage license.

A ceremony may be rescheduled once without an additional fee. You may visit an office or call to reschedule your appointment. Please have your marriage license and original appointment date and time available. If rescheduling in-person, only one party to the marriage is needed.

A ceremony appointment can be scheduled or rescheduled at any office daily. However, each location has specific days in which ceremonies are performed. See schedule below.

You must provide a witness at the time of your ceremony if you have a public marriage license. If you do not have a witness, we can provide one for you for $20.

Payment can be made by:

  • Cash
  • Credit/debit card: Valid identification, such as a driver's license, of the signer is required and must be presented at time of request. A $1.75 service fee will be charged.
  • Money order: Make payable to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk or RRCC
  • Check: Make payable to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk or RRCC
  • Note:Effective May 1, 2019, we will no longer accept temporary checks or foreign checks (with the exception of Canada and Mexico) for any Recorder/County Clerk services.

You can schedule a civil ceremony at any office below ONCE you have your marriage license.
