LEANNE M. IBARRA

GROUNDS FOR RECALL

Pursuant to the California Constitution and California election laws, we the undersigned registered and qualified electors of the El Rancho Unified School District of Pico Rivera, California, respectfully state that we seek the recall and removal of Leanne M. Ibarra, holding the office of Member of the Governing Board, in El Rancho Unified School District of Pico Rivera, California.

We demand an election of a successor to that office.

The following Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petition was served on May 21, 2019 to Leanne M. Ibarra.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE RECALL PETITION

TO THE HONORABLE Leanne M. Ibarra: Pursuant to Section 11020, California Elections Code, the undersigned registered qualified voters of Pico Rivera, in the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from Board Member at El Rancho Unified School District, in Pico Rivera, California, and to demand election of a successor in that office.

The grounds for the recall are as follows:

Failure to rescind 23 pink slips to administrators; at the request of your constituents, teachers, parents, and students who stated at school board meetings how each principal has positively impacted the lives of all associated within their school communities. Your affirmative vote April 16, 2019 to demote one assistant principal and three principals, to transfer one principal, and to release one principal, has disrupted the education process of most students and negatively impacted school climate.

Failure to protect and respect the taxpayers and community by ensuring proper management and effective oversight of Measure ER's 200 million-dollar bond.

You voted affirmatively on vendor contracts, who funded your campaign putting your self-interest above the community.

Failure to act as an independent thinker; to date always looking towards Orosco and Lara to see which way to vote; this brings to question your integrity and ability to govern our school district.

Your actions have proven that you do not value the needs nor the interests of the community; most importantly, the students of the El Rancho Unified School District. The students cannot accept three more years of your poor decision making and inadequate responses. Our families demand a recall.
