COUNTY STATEMENT
OF DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP:
Beginning May 6,
1999, couples wishing to file a Statement of Domestic Partnership
may begin filing with the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's (RR/CC)
Office. The Board of Supervisors approved an ordinance for the creation
of a centralized registry for domestic partners at the April 6 Board
meeting. The registry is intended to assist unmarried adult couples
applying for domestic partnership benefits from employers. Couples
wishing to register must both be 18 years of age or older and at
least one partner must reside or work within Los Angeles County.
A Statement
of Domestic Partnership may be filed at any of the following locations:

Statement of
Domestic Partnership $20 (includes a certificate).
Amendment of Domestic Partnership $13.
Termination of Domestic Partnership $15.
A certified copy
of any of the filings and/or an additional certificate is $6.
